The International Piano Competition Foundation organises the International Piano Festival every two years (in the year that there is no competition). In October 2009, the Festival will take place in Twente for the third time.
Prize winners of the last International Piano Competition for Young Musicians 2008 will have the opportunity to come to Twente again to play for an audience.
This event will be held from 6 to 10 October during the lunch concerts in the Arke hall of the Nationaal Muziekkwartier in Enschede and in the Waterstaatskerk in Hengelo. Admission to all concerts is free.
